How to unfold a juju hat (in 5 simple steps)
Hi! We are going to show you in 5 simple steps how to unfold your gorgeous juju hat. If you buy one of them at SABELLAR, you will receive it with clear instructions and the corresponding labels to know how to proceed.

FIRST OF ALL: DO NOT CUT ANY STRINGS! ALL OF THEM ARE NECESSARY TO KEEP YOUR BEAUTIFUL JUJU HAT TOGETHER!

STEP 1: UNWRAPPING. Please untie the white string that wraps the whole juju hat base (if you receive one of ours, this string will come with a label with a letter 'A' on it). Remember: DO NOT CUT IT. After that, the juju hat will start loosing itself.

STEP 2: PUSHING. Push out the raffia-made bottom to open the feathers (in our juju hats look for the label with the letter 'B'). After that the raffia support will pop out and the feathers will unfold like a flower. Push firmly all the way. We suggest using both your thumbs or the palm of your hand.

STEP 3: ARRANGING. Remember that your juju hat has been kept wrapped, maybe for a long time, in order to preserve it from damage and to be shipped conveniently. Now the feathers have to breathe a little bit. Meanwhile you can move the raffia sticks closer together or farther apart (it is important to distribute them homogeneously, so they are evenly separated one from the other). It is possible that some feathers are stuck together from the shipping. It is normal. To fluff out your juju hat you can arrange the feathers gently with your hands or use a blow dryer, specially on the ones on the outer side. Blow from the outside to the inside. Of course, use the blow dryer gently (low heat level and 20 cm distance) and WITHOUT wetting the feathers first.

STEP 4: HANGING. Use the small loop-shaped white string (label 'C' in our juju hats) to hang the juju hat on your wall. We normally adjust this string for the juju hat to stand vertical on the wall. But if you prefer it to be more inclined, just set the string a bit looser. (The looser the string the more inclined it will stand on the wall and vice versa). Once hanged, it will be easier for you to see if there are more feathers that need to be arranged.
